WHO OR WHAT IS HVAC SHIFU?
My name is Ameen, the HVAC Shifu.I am not a marketer who decided one day to target the HVAC industry. I worked inside it. For years, across companies in the US and Canada, I handled marketing, content, lead generation, dispatch, customer support, and operations. I was not advising from the outside. I was in the room.
I took the calls. I managed the leads. I watched jobs get lost because nobody followed up in time. I saw what a slow February does to a business that has no system keeping things moving. I saw peak season chaos when leads came in faster than the team could handle them. By the time I decided to go solo, I had seen enough to know exactly what HVAC business owners needed and exactly why nobody was giving it to them the right way.
WHY I WENT SOLO
I started HVAC Shifu because I saw how many HVAC contractors were working hard every day but still losing opportunities due to missed follow-ups, inconsistent content, and poor online visibility.
The way homeowners find and choose HVAC companies is changing fast. More people are searching online, reading reviews, watching videos, and comparing companies before they ever pick up the phone. At the same time, AI is changing how customers discover local businesses and how companies stay visible in their market.
Most small and medium-sized HVAC contractors do not have the time to keep up with all of it, and they should not have to.
That is why I built HVAC Shifu.
My goal is simple: help HVAC contractors get more value from the leads and customers they already have through better content, stronger local visibility, smarter follow-up systems, and customer reactivation campaigns. Everything I do is designed to help HVAC businesses grow without the cost of a large agency or the frustration of trying to figure everything out on their own.
MISTAKES I WATCHED HVAC BUSINESSES MAKE FOR YEARS
I am not writing this to criticize anyone. Running an HVAC business is genuinely hard work. But after years of working inside these companies, I kept seeing the same patterns repeat themselves. Patterns that were quietly costing contractors serious money every single month.
Putting all their trust in Google Ads
Ads work until they stop. The moment the budget drops, the leads dry up. I watched businesses spend thousands every month on paid traffic with nothing sustainable built underneath it. When the campaigns paused, so did the phone. That is not a marketing strategy. That is a month-to-month dependency that leaves you exposed every time costs go up or performance drops.
Completely ignoring AI search
ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews. Homeowners are using these tools right now to find local HVAC contractors. Most business owners I worked with had never given it a second thought. Their competitors who do show up in those results are taking calls that should have gone to them.
Never showing their work
A contractor finishes a clean installation, does excellent work, and drives home without taking a single photo or shooting thirty seconds of footage. That job could have been content. It could have been a review request. It could have been a referral. Instead it was just a closed invoice and a missed opportunity.
Treating video like it was optional
Video is not optional anymore. Homeowners want to see the person coming to their house before they pick up the phone. Contractors who show up on video, even simple footage shot on a phone at a job site, build trust faster than any ad ever could. Most contractors I worked with had never posted a single clip.
Looking for new customers while ignoring the ones they already had
This one genuinely hurt to watch. A contractor with hundreds of past customers, a solid reputation, and zero system to stay in touch with any of them. No seasonal follow-ups, no maintenance reminders, nothing to bring people back. New leads cost money and effort to acquire. Past customers already trust you. Most businesses I worked with treated them like strangers anyway.
Never using AI to their advantage
Not just for visibility but for the daily work of running a business. Writing estimates, responding to reviews, following up with leads, producing content. The contractors who get comfortable with AI tools run leaner and move faster than everyone around them. Most were still doing everything the long way.
If you run an HVAC business and you are tired of being invisible online, I built this for you.
